The Anglican Communion was traditionally bound together among other things by the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England. The Common Life Liturgical Commission of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia has launched a newly revised version of ‘A New Zealand Prayer Book He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa’. is an accepted Anglican principle, but that any such revisions must be for good reason and sound both in doctrine and ceremony. The prayer book of 1662, with minor changes, has continued as the standard liturgy of most Anglican churches of the British Commonwealth. The prayers are presented from The Book of Common Prayer (2019) of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and reflect the ancient patterns of daily prayer Christians have used since the earliest days of the church.
